CMAG Meeting at Adobe Headquarters March 11-12

The 44th meeting of the Computer Market Analysis Group (CMAG) meeting will be held at Adobe headquarters in San Jose, California on March 11-12.  The theme of the meeting is "MI ROI", and the focus will be on providing members with innovative techniques for measuring and increasing ROI from their Market Intelligence activities. Highlights of the two day session include:

  • Jonathan Dietrich of the Corporate Executive Board (http://www.executiveboard.com/) will lead off by sharing the secrets of how progressive MI groups in the companies he has studied have enhanced their impact without increasing spending;
  • Theresa Kushner of Cisco - leader of an MI group which has been nationally recognized for the substantial and measureable results produced by its analytical work - will follow with a CMAG War Story that is sure to be illuminating;
  • Alden Cushman of SiriusDecisions (http://www.siriusdecisions.com/) will offer an overview of best practices and models that MI teams use to optimize their impact on the sales process - and on the bottom line;
  • Building on this theme, Jeff Summers of SAVO (http://www.savogroup.com/) will then follow by sharing additional detail on best practices used by companies for capturing, promoting and delivering critical intelligence at key points in the sales process;
  • CMAG's own Doug Schwegman of CyberSource will wrap up the first day with a War Story in which he provides a case study for measuring the ROI from an MI project;
  • On the second day, Jim Lenskold of the Lenskold Group (http://www.lenskold.com/) will discuss proven techniques for the use of MI to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI;
  • Colin Gounden of Grail Research (http://www.grailresearch.com/) will discuss tools that can be used as "force multipliers" to leverage market intelligence more effectively; and
  • Deepak Varma and Michael Smith of NeuroFocus (http://www.neurofocus.com/) will wrap things up with a forward-looking view of emerging research techniques in the realm of neuroscience that market researchers are using to enhance ROI.
